Recently CNBC presented an inside view of Target Stores from inception to expansion activities. I was surprised to learn that Target Stores acquired the City of Detroit's J.L. Hudson Downtown store which I hold such fond memories of shopping there with my mom and siblings. I remember a shopping trip to J.L. Hudson which I pleaded (really pleaded including a few tears) with my mom to buy me this navy blue sailor dress which I was blessed to get and looked fabulous wearing (even at the age of 10)....thanks mommy!
Target Stores started with the drive and courage of an entrepreneur who saw an opportunity to provide goods and services. With the help of countless individuals this Midwestern business grew rapidly through market expansion activities such as market penetrations and mergers and acquisitions. Although, in the 70s Target Stores realized rapid growth and profit unfortunately in the same time period there were significant losses due to inconsistent management practices. Inconsistent business management practices across multiple sites or departments can result loss in profits. Business management practices that are uniformed, consistent and measured are necessary in all sized enterprises if indeed profitability is desired.
While delivering your services and products to the marketplace today consider this...Are your management practices, processes and human capital generating profits or creating losses? Are you using key performance trackers to gauge your professional and personal contributions?

Today's Headlines Features Your Business Story - Read All About It!
Great day fellow bloggers and knowledge seekers!
I am so excited about today because of the power that works in me which will indeed be manifested into the earth making our world a better place. In order to produce resources, knowledge, and to enrich relationships or align to new relationships I am yielding to the Holy Spirit and its power. Indeed my inspiration and consultant will be the Holy Spirit since He knows all things. Enjoy the blog and take action to manifest victories in your part of the world today!
Today's headlines features countless business stories and you may recall that my sincere interest is in helping you become inspired to take action for the creation of your business stories. By the way as a business owner or aspiring business owner, the wonderful part about creating your story is that you truly do not have to lean unto your own understanding for the Holy Spirit (the voice of our Heavenly Daddy God) resides in you and is firmly positioned to guide your actions every day and all day so set your heart to start planning out your meaningful work and actions. 1 John 2: 20 But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge. (English Standard Version Bible)
So let's begin the process to stir up the same power that works in me and also within you.
- Conduct a sound check - this is a mental and spiritual assessment step to determine what the sources of your thoughts as for your thoughts will become actions and to determine if you are prepared to render services or products in the marketplace. A sound check also identifies developmental areas you possess as a business (or aspiring) owner that requires a plan of action to shift to strengths however this is an honest conversation and one very beneficial to your overall business performance. A sound check also requires that you examine your attitude around ambition and being sure of your destiny for there are ebbs and flows to encounter on the destiny fulfillment pathway. Acts 27: 23 "Last night God's angel stood at my side, an angel of this God I serve, 24 saying to me, 'Don't give up, Paul. You're going to stand before Caesar yet - and everyone sailing with you is also going to make it.'" (The Message Bible)
- Identify the sources which influences your actions - this step can be brutal because you may realize there are individuals you have granted authority to rule and reign in your life that honestly those individuals do not mirror the world you would like to manifest. Note: Approval and authority of Daddy God generates far better results than mere humans and He will match you up to the right resources if you yield and simply ask Him in Christ Jesus' name.
- Visualize what you want and need to accomplish this week and month - this is your visual goal setting step. I do want to mention that I align this step to hearing from Daddy God or aligning to His word. I do want to caution to watch the words you speak for they have power to create what you envision or delay.
- Make a list of a minimum of three (3) tasks you need to execute - these three (3) tasks move you closer to realizing the outcomes you desire in your business day thus creating your testimony or business story.
In closing, as I envisioned and declared my Monday I simply visualized angles moving about to create tons of miracles that would be beneficial to individuals that I encounter as well as myself. I can truly testify that I saw the angels move mightily this morning creating miracles for my lost mobile phone recovered by a local firefighter and nuclear engineer (by the way such a pleasant encounter during my retrieval of the phone). Hence, my thoughts aligned to Daddy God's words have power and will accomplish what was spoken forth for truly I could not have located my mobile phone without assistance from His angels. Thank Daddy God for the blessed return of my new mobile phone!!!
Choose your thoughts wisely today and take actions to become inspired to create your business story for I am excited about reading of your divine success and prosperity experiences.

Global Economy and Your Business Conversations
We are bombarded by media reports of global economic conditions however there seems to be a void or partial delivery of information in these reports. I find these economic reports (broadcasted through countless mediums) are simply absent of the voices of individuals who transact in commerce daily which includes the consumers and producers. I find these economic reports fail to offer any solutions for turning around the business and economic climates. I find that these reports are totally absent of the testimonials of Christian business owners who are excelling in business in light of the economic conditions.
The Wall Street Journal (June 8, 2011) reports a story regarding the inabilities of the US Federal Reserve to stimulate jobs (Fed Lacks Tools to Ramp Up Job Growth, 2011). I must admit as long as we lean unto our own understanding we will indeed be limited in our abilities and capabilities to perform. I find that global economic reports lack any references to biblical events that mirror our economic conditions (albeit there is reference to historical economic data) or worst and the victories that were manifested using divinely inspired practices and principles.
I plan to deliver in this blog setting biblical practices and principles aligned to best business practices so that our views and conversations will shift and our business climates will ultimately transform in how we operate, manage and grow our businesses. I endeavor to change the conversations to conversations that mirror victories and trust you will shift your conversations with me.

I must admit as long as we lean unto our own understanding we will indeed be limited in our abilities and capabilities to perform.
